trans* inter*&friends evening every third Tuesday of the month from 6 p.m. - from 19 May 2020
Our hammam offers all bathers (whether friends, inter* or trans*) who commit themselves not to pattern, stare or comment on the body and clothing of the other visitors, a protected space. So that everyone can feel as comfortable and safe as possible, everyone strives to pay attention to their own behavior and the limits of others.
There are no gender segregated rooms or regulations in the hammam. Everyone can visit the hammam with their own body and preferred clothing.
What does trans* mean?
Trans* means all people who do not identify with the gender assigned to them at birth.
What does inter* mean?
Inter* describes the lived experience of being born with a body that does not meet the normative ideas of male and female.
Who are the friends?
Friends are women* who want to visit the hammam together with the trans* inter* bathers.
Women* who avoid public baths due to scars, body shape or similar are also welcome.
Dyadic cis-men are excluded from visiting our hamam, because our hamam is part of the Frauenzentrum Schokoladenfabrik e.V., which sees itself as an open place for women* and girls*. Dyadic cis men are those whose gender identity corresponds to the gender assigned to them at birth.
