Trans*Inter*&Friends*Evening - Every third Tue monthly from 6pm
trans*inter*&friends-evening on every third Tuesday of the month from 6 pm
Starts for the first time on Tue 19 May 2020
Our Hamam offers a protected space to all bathers (no matter if friends, inter* or trans*) who commit themselves not to examine, stare at or comment on the body and clothing of other visitors. In order for everyone to feel as comfortable and safe as possible, everyone endeavours to respect their own behaviour and the boundaries of others.
There are no gender-separated rooms or regulations in the Hamam. Everyone can visit the Hamam with their own body and in their preferred clothing.
What does trans* mean?
By trans* we mean all people who do not identify with the gender assigned to them at birth.
What does inter* mean?
Inter* describes the lived experience of being born with a body that does not correspond to the normative ideas of male/male and female/female.
Who are the Friends?
Friends* are women* who wish to visit the Hamam together with the trans*inter* bathers.
Women* who avoid public baths due to scars, body shape or similar reasons are also welcome.
Dyadic cis men are excluded from visiting our Hamam, as our Hamam is part of the "Woman Chocolate Factory Association", which sees itself as an open place for women* and girls*. Dyadic cis men are those whose gender identity corresponds to the gender assigned to them at birth.
